Family Educator – Full Time

Serving the Somali/African Community

The Family Educator (FE) is responsible for conducting outreach activities, intake & assessment procedures. FE utilizes home visiting, develops family goal plans & refers families to service. FE teaches parenting & pre-literacy skills to parents, educates parents on the importance of parent participation in early education.

Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken Somalia and English, have an associates degree in early childhood education, social service, or community health along with 2 years of experience serving diverse populations. Proficiency with personal computers with Microsoft Office suite preferred.
