Teaching Assistant – Full Time

At Way to Grow, A Teaching Assistant supports Preschool Teachers in center-based programming. They are responsible for the support of classroom based educational experiences and the provision of developmentally appropriate opportunities for diverse children and families. Teaching Assistants collaborate closely with Preschool Teachers to assist in lesson planning, curriculum implementation, classroom management, and family communication. Teaching Assistants work within the Preschool Pals and Play, Learn and Grow programs 80% while maintaining an abbreviated home-visiting caseload (in accordance with Family Educator Job Description) the remaining 20%.

Candidates must have bachelor’s or Associates degree in early childhood education or social science; or Certification in health or education, or relevant experience, along with 2 years of experience serving diverse populations. Proficiency with personal computers, Microsoft Office suite preferred.
