Way to Grow's
Project Dream Tracks connect teen
parents and their extended family members to break the
cycle of teen parents having children who in turn become
teen parents. Through these monthly workshops the
teens and their family members set goals for themselves
and work to ensure the success of not only the teen, but
the child as well. Volunteers for these workshops
are needed for the following activities:
|
- Talking about your career and
your path to success
- Giving a finance and budgeting
seminar
- Entertaining the children at the
event with your hidden talents

Large Group:
All too often a parent
can’t focus on their child’s learning until they have
met their family’s basic needs. Books and other
learning materials for their children then become a
luxury. Volunteer groups are needed to organize
the following drives:
|
 |
-
A book a day keeps
illiteracy away!
A drive for books from the Minneapolis Public
Library’s recommended
reading
list.
-
Welcome to our world!
A drive for baby and infant health items to be
placed in Welcome Baby
Bags for new mothers.
-
Color our world!
A drive for school supplies like crayons and
coloring books to be used on home visits and in
Play, Learn & Grow
classes.
